My baby sister left to travel the world this week. Okay, so she might not be a baby any more (she’s almost 23), but I’ll always be her big sister and it was hard saying goodbye on Sunday knowing she’ll be off drinking copious amounts at full moon parties in Thailand and galavanting around India with her eye firmly on bargains to be had, rather than her valuables…
In true Rees style, the entire family – dog, boyfriends et al – turned up to send her off, amongst a cloud of BBQ fumes and one too many glasses of prosecco. During a rare moment that wasn’t spent eating, my sister and I popped to the shops to stock up on a few last-minute travel essentials. Sandwiched in between the search for a bumbag (yes, a bumbag) and a well earned frapuccino, I came across this little beauty in the local Topshop. Say hello to my new favourite dress.
Paired with chunky black heels and a (fading) tan, this dress is the ultimate in easy summer wear. The fit is also seriously flattering – so much so I’m currently having to stop myself from rushing back to Topshop and buying it in red. My bank manager hates me quite enough already this month.
