As ever, I got highly over-excited at the sight of blue skies on Saturday and decided to dress for spring. Inspired by a hint of sunshine, I swapped my usual winter coat and black Zara bag for pretty pastels and this peachy tote.
Luckily it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day, which gave me a chance to swan around London wearing my favourite floaty skirt (picked up in the Topshop summer sale last year for £20 – bargain!).
Jack and I went for a stroll along Southbank, from Westminster all the way up to St Pauls, and stopped off at the OXO Tower Bar for a few drinks to make the most of the sunny views. It’s amazing what a bit of spring-like weather can do – I practically skipped along the river with a renewed hope that summer may actually arrive at some point this year.
After six long months of heavy coats, winter boots and an endless supply of black skinny jeans, it felt really nice to finally inject some colour into my outfit and head out without my usual arsenal of gloves, scarf and emergency ‘extra layer’.
Hopefully spring is set to stay and this outfit won’t be banished to the back of my wardrobe once again…
